Festive Holiday Fun For The Whole Family!

The 6th Annual Snow Fest Sarasota!

It's the 6th annual Snow Fest Sarasota! Whether you're a child or just a child at heart, everyone is sure to have a ball at this fun filled event. Over 250 tons of snow are being trucked in to transform the area into a real winter wonderland! Catch live performances by ReFlex Arts Dance and Ovation School of Musical Theater, hop inside the 16' snowglobe, sing along with the carolers, then visit with Santa, Rudolph, and Frosty. Other attractions include:

• Santa's Circus
• Snow Tubing & Sculptures
• Pony Rides
• Mrs. Claus's Kitchen and Santa's Workshop
• Carnival Rides
• and so much more!

When: December 16 - 18 from 3 PM - 8 PM on Friday, 12 PM to 9 PM on Saturday and Sunday
Where: Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch
Cost: Free, but a non-perishable food item would be appreciated.

Christmas On Main Street

Bring the whole family down to Main Street to enjoy great food, fun games, and a visit with Santa and his elves before the big night! One of his elves informed us there might even be some snow! The Grace Community Church will also be hosting a candlelight service later in the evening.

When: Saturday, December 23 from 6:30 PM to 8 PM
Where: Main Street at Lakewood Ranch
Cost: Free!

Sarasota Film Festival & Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center Present: Frozen

The Sarasota Film Festival and Suncoast Aquatic Nature Center have banded together to present Disney's Frozen. Bring a blanket, some chairs, and friends along for this free event that' perfect for families.

When: Saturday, December 17 from 6:15 AM to 10 AM
Where: Nathan Benderson Park on Regatta Island at Sunset
Cost: Free, but a non-perishable food item would be appreciated.

Holiday Lights Spectacular!

Every year, the Sarasota Jungle Gardens transforms into a fun holiday wonderland! Enthrall the whole family with the light displays at this year's event and pay a visit to some of your favorite animals. While there won't be chestnuts roasting on an open fire, there will be marshmallows and s'mores!

When: December 16 & 17, 21 - 24, and 26 - 30 from 6 PM to 9 PM
Where: Sarasota Jungle Gardens
Cost: Adults are $11, Children are $6

5th Annual Jingle 5k Run/Walk

Walk or run your way to the finish of this fun 5k race in Lakewood Ranch! Runners are supplied with jingle bells, laces, and lighted flashers, but you're encouraged to get decked out in a festive costume. If that doesn't put you in the holiday spirit, the fun Christmas music along the course surely will. Aside from helping a really great cause, you could win several prizes, including a free pair of New Balance shoes and free event T-shirts.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center Auxiliary and JoshProvides. To learn more about these great initiatives, visit the event's Active Network registration form.
